droplet infection

İngilizce - Türkçe

DROPLET INFECTION
Droplet infection is a mode of transmission of infectious diseases that occurs when an infected person expels droplets containing infectious agents into the air, usually through coughing, sneezing, talking, or even breathing. These droplets can travel a short distance, typically less than 6 feet, and can infect others who are in close proximity and inhale them into their respiratory system.

Some common examples of diseases that can be transmitted through droplet infection include influenza, COVID-19, and tuberculosis. Droplet infection is different from airborne transmission, which occurs when infectious agents are suspended in the air for a longer period of time and can infect people who are further away or in another room. To prevent droplet transmission of diseases, it is important to wear masks or face coverings, practice good respiratory hygiene such as covering your mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing, maintaining physical distance, and ensuring adequate ventilation in indoor spaces.
